Five exact issues from the starting catalogue. These are research references, not a shortlist or a value ranking.
All 100 exact issues. Raw references and their dates are visible here. Card numbers below are catalogue positions, not a current value ranking.
Dated source guides. TCG Modern Index weights and historical attribution are not established.
Card counts describe the selected catalogue. Historical USD baskets are labelled separately above.
Actual dated guide observations for these exact issues. Missing days remain visible.
A priced date is a guide observation, not proof of another sale. Transaction counts are not connected.
The finished view will show exact PSA 9 and PSA 10 populations, dated changes and source links. Historical population is not connected in this edition.
Population is graded certifications, not circulating supply. A gem rate is not your card’s chance of a 10.
The original 90 stay in place. Nine issues already researched for the project and Greninja ex now complete this curated basket. These are research constituents, not purchase recommendations.
Added to this public catalogue on 3 November 2026. Historical prices predate publication; membership has not been backdated.
The private Modern 90 series is unchanged. This public 100-card catalogue has its own release and fixed historical price baskets. Adding cards never creates an artificial price gain.
The pictures bring us in. The evidence helps us understand the price. Relevant stories sit beside the cards they affect.

The January-history basket and current-USD selection keep their original members. Later source gaps do not remove cards or invent a price. The loaded source receipt shows each basket’s base date and coverage.
Each basket starts at index 100 with equal weights. Weights then drift with prices; no periodic reset is applied in v1. Neither curve claims all 100 cards were priced in January.
Missing daily observations remain blank. A reviewed source anomaly is excluded from charts and returns while its original amount, reason and archive receipt are preserved. There is no interpolation, invented price or currency substitution.
Daily archived TCGplayer guides combine conditions and exclude costs. Identical prices on consecutive days are repeated guide observations, not proof of another sale.
We selected this basket in November and reconstructed its available prices. This is not proof it would have been selected in January, a tradable fund or a collector’s net return.
Two equal-weight cards rise 20% and fall 10%: the basket gains 5%. Prices then move the weights; v1 does not reset them each day.
Starting basket: equal exposure to a $100 card and a $200 card; index = 100.
First move: prices become $120 and $180. 100 × [(120 ÷ 100) + (180 ÷ 200)] ÷ 2 = 105.
Next move: the first rises another 10% to $132 and the second stays at $180. Using the original quantities gives 111, a 5.71% gain from 105. Weights have drifted.
Membership: this edition keeps its baskets fixed. A later change needs a new version and an explicit continuity calculation.
TCGplayer market guides from TCGCSV’s dated daily archives. Exact product ID and Holofoil printing matched; combined conditions. Source gaps and one reviewed anomalous Mew Blue quote remain explicit. Empoleon’s mixed-language EUR reference is separate from USD performance.
TCGCSV data and history →96 exact English issues use TCGdex images; four use the Limitless catalogue. These are reference illustrations, not photographs of a particular seller’s or owner’s copy. Pokémon artwork belongs to its respective owners.
Image sources & provenance →100 identities and pictures, dated Raw references, daily card histories and labelled USD basket charts. Graded prices are not connected yet: each PSA 9/10 reference needs its own exact-grade source and date. Population and transaction-level statistics also remain pending.
